Two million iPlayer views for Murder Case

Our BBC series Murder Case continues to break records and has been recommissioned for a second series.

With unparalleled access to Police Scotland's Major Investigations Team (MITs), Murder Case goes behind the scenes on the most complex murder and large-scale criminal investigations in the country.

The first two episodes premiered in early June on the BBC Scotland channel, and following the disappearance and subsequent murder investigation of 47-year-old Julie Reilly who went missing from her Govan flat in March 2018. To date, these episodes have had almost two million views on BBC iPlayer.

A third episode, Motive Unknown, was first broadcast on Tuesday 9th July on BBC Scotland. It followed the MIT investigation into the violent murder of 46-year-old Stephen Wallace, whose body was found in a Paisley tower block flat in March 2018.

All three episodes were broadcast on BBC Two in August 2019.
