Abortion film wins Best TV programme

Our film Young, British and Anti-Abortion won the TV award at the 2025 Sanford St Martin Awards. The single documentary was broadcast on BBC One in November 2024.

The Sanford St Martin awards celebrate thought-provoking, distinctive programming relating to faith, ethics or morality. 

We're delighted that the film and its Director / Presenter Poppy Jay have been recognised in this way.

The programme team also included producer Grace Kirkwood, development producer Claudia Massie, editor Audrey McColligan and executive producers Vari Innes and Nicole Kleeman.

The judges said the documentary was “brave and innovative… It was a respectful yet challenging insight into those whose views we might not agree with, hearing from those who often don’t get a chance to be heard."
