Double BAFTA win

Firecrest Films won both the Factual Series and Single Documentary categories at the 2021 BAFTA Scotland Awards.

Scotland, Statues and Slavery, a co-production with Urquhart Media for BBC Scotland, won Best Single Documentary. The film explores Scotland's involvement in the slave trade and its impact and commemoration today.

The BBC Scotland / BBC Two observational documentary series Murder Case, filmed with the Major Investigations Team at Police Scotland, won the Factual Series award. This is the fourth year running Firecrest have won the factual series prize, winning in 2018 for Lifers Behind Bars (Channel 4), in 2019 with the first series of Murder Case (BBC Scotland / BBC Two) and last year for Murder Trial: The Disappearance of Margaret Fleming (BBC Scotland / BBC Two).
